Welcome to District Dig, a Washington, D.C., based news source devoted to long-form reporting and photojournalism. The brainchild of Jeffrey Anderson and Andy DelGiudice, The Dig seeks to fill a void in the coverage of the District’s politics, residents and communities. We at The Dig hope to use this site as a platform for a number of initiatives and we look forward to serving the greater community.
Jeffrey Anderson is a veteran reporter who for close to two decades has covered Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Baltimore for numerous publications including The Washington Times, Washington City Paper and local opinion for The Washington Post. His bulldog reporting sensibilities draw him to tough, often overlooked stories that represent subjects and citizens in a fair and deserved light.
Andy DelGiudice is a Washington, D.C., based photographer with a passion for constructing visual narratives. Much of his personal work and self-produced projects involve long-form photo essays that employ detail, depth and an original perspective to shed light on compelling human and social subjects.
Working in close collaboration, Andy and Jeff will combine their respective talents to produce a fresh source of news, culture and arts coverage.
